Hey Mikail,

Way cool site! I've just scratched the surface, and here's a test of a Blog comment. I have a dial-up, so things are sloooooow, but what I've seen so far is working, even that way cool MP3 player (once the song finishes downloading).

I'll be sending you the setlists I've collected over the years, which might be a nice addition to the site, since the band NEVER plays the same songs in the same order. And it is pretty cool to see some of my pictures displayed here.

peace,

Ken Schumacher

Hey! I showed up late to the last Cooper's gig on May 13th, but managed to jot down a partial setlist. Maybe someone else remembers what they played earlier?

Set 2
Cheek to Cheek
Whipping Post
Whole Lotta Love (tease)
Oh Oh Oh (?) (Dave sings)
Take Me To The River
Cisco Kid *
Love Is Thicker Than Water *
Voodoo
Not Fade Away

(* with George Sousa-trumpet)

Great show with that AWESOME Gamble sound system. Very loud, but very clean.

Thanks to all those folks who bought the new Volume 2-Covers CD that night.

And Volume 3-More Covers is nearly finished! More news real soon.

I can't wait till their next gig. These guys are HOT!

The band was HOT Saturday nite, Sept. 23 at Coopers, with guest Lenny LaRoux (not sure how to spell his name) sitting in for the first time on keyboards. Tom MacDonald was away, causing a coup in Tailand, but the band soldiered on without him. Here's the setlist:

set 1
- She Caught the Katie
- Sissy Strut
- Get Out Of My Life Woman
- Walking Blues >
- Brother John
- Get Up Stand Up
- Cisco Kid
- Franklin's Tower
set 2
- Stop That Train
- Too Little Too Late>
- Whipping Post
- VooDoo
- Working For The Wage
- Get Back To Your Woods
- Take Me To The River>
- Fire On The Bayou.

These guys just get better and better, and Lenny brough a great energy and showmanship to the mix.

Thanks for the great welcome, Nevada City, Ken Schumacher, and especially fellow Humperheads! I can't possibly find words to adequately describe that first nite onstage playing keyboards with the band. It was a high I'll never forget & I hope to be "Hangin' Wit Da 'Heads" for as long as possible - forever or until Dave Smith kicks my ass back out marking his visits to town. :-D

The proper spelling of my last name is La Rue but I'm not all that picky since I'm not 'all that'. ;-)

I hope to see and meet each and every one of you sooner or later so be sure and hit as many gigs as you can. Thanks again, family, fans and friends of the Buck Love & The Humperheads. You've made my arrival a musician's paradise!

Another great night at Coopers on October 27th with Buck Love and the Humperheads. I got to do the live sound, which was great fun once I got the buttons and knobs where they needed to be.

Way cool costumes, especially the guy with the glowing pumpkin face on top of his head. And I believe we got to hear Lorraine Gervais sing on Take Me To The River. If I'm wrong on that, please correct me. Lenny La Rue worked keyboards once again, and it looks to me like he'll be around for quite a while.

Here's what went down...

Set 1
Still In Love With You
Crossroads
Love Makes You Stupid
Three Little Birds
Love That Muddy Water
Get Up Stand Up
Franklin's Tower

Set 2
Guns Of August
The Cisco Kid
Cheek To Cheek
Fire On The Bayou
Take Me To The River (with Lorraine Gervais) >>
Whipping Post
Stir It Up
Rebel Rebel (is that the name of this song?)
Toxic Dump Site
Love Is Thicker Than Water

..Boys, that was one fun and hot Rock and Roll show at Los Bandidos last night. It would be very cool if that could become some sort of semi-regular gig-We need more down-home, heartfelt, kick-ass R+R- Good for the head, body and soul, and so damn fun. That low-ceilinged little room really suits your music and energy and crowd-and the $3.00 cover was mighty nice, too. Great Rock and Roll value! Hope it happens again soon
